Part One: Why Women Are Exceptionally Poised to Shape the Next Phase of AI

The next phase of AI won’t look like the last one. It will be shaped by the people who lead with questions, lead with empathy, and treat innovation as a creative act. The people who know that leadership is the growth of people and relationships, not just the deployment of tools.

Women come to this moment carrying real, hard-earned capacities. We’ve had to reinvent ourselves more than once for a world that wasn’t built to accommodate us. We give airspace to conversation and connection that others don’t always make room for. We hold complexity without rushing to resolve it. These aren’t soft skills. They are exactly what shaping the next phase of AI requires.

In this session, we’ll be in conversation with Melissa Reeve, author of Hyperadaptive, exploring why this moment is different, what women bring that the field has been missing, and how to step into shaping what comes next rather than reacting to it.

But this isn’t a talk to sit through. Using our partner and sponsor Mnfst.ai’s co-sensing platform, the room will practice what Melissa is describing in real time. • Boulder (Women in AI Colorado), early September picks it up, building on what surfaces here and bringing the arc to a larger room.

The two-city structure gives the conversation room to evolve between cities and gives our community a richer co-sensing dataset across two distinct rooms.
